Eric Selby Band will be performing songs from Eric’s five releases, “Do, Baby.,” “Where You Born At?,” “Dang Fool,” “Starting To Sync In” & "Five." at The New Deal Cafe.On this special night, it will be a full band performance including the amazing talents of Cletus Kennelly, Pat Drews, Chris Thompson and Rich Nagel.
Eric Selby is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in a small town in Maryland. His home now in Virginia, not far from the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains, provides an inspirational backdrop for Eric's unique blend of Americana, Psychedelic Folk and thought-provoking lyrics.
Eric has released 4 records since 2020 which have gained nationwide attention:
~Roots Music Report listed Eric’s first release in 2020, "Do, Baby.," in the TOP 50 of their NATIONAL TOP CONTEMPORARY FOLK ALBUM CHART's "Best of 2020" and "Best of 2021."
~Roots Music Report listed Eric's second release in 2021, "Where You Born At?," as their NATIONAL TOP CONTEMPORARY FOLK ALBUM CHART's "Best of 2021."
~Eric's third release in 2023, "Dang Fool," was named TOP 20 NATIONAL ALTERNATIVE FOLK RECORD OF THE YEAR 2024. -Roots Music Report, 2025.
~Eric's most recent release, "Starting To Sync In," was recorded in Arlington, VA & Nashville, TN and was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, England.
"Starting To Sync In" is currently in the Top 10 on Roots Music Report's National Alternative Folk Chart.
