Erev Rosh Hashanah
Celebrate the Jewish New Year at Alberta Park.
Erev Rosh Hashanah, meaning "eve of Rosh Hashanah," marks the beginning of the High Holy Days. Let us usher in the year together. Share an evening of reflection, music, and readings. There will be candles, grape juice, apples and honey, and challot for the new year. Hear the sound of the shofar and be awakened (before Shabbat begins).
We will each write our dreams areas we want to grow. We'll then add it into the pot to be brewed and stirred and anonymously shared during our time together.
A time to plant dream seeds!
Bring a blanket, we'll safely cluster in pods!
Gather in the center of the park across from the playground.
