ER 2024: International Conference on Conceptual Modeling 2024

The 43rd International Conference on Conceptual Modeling is the main international forum for discussing the state of the art, emerging issues, and future challenges in research and practice on conceptual modeling.

Topics of interest span the entire spectrum of conceptual modeling, including research and practice in areas such as theories of concepts and ontologies, techniques for transforming conceptual models into effective implementations, and methods and tools for developing and communicating conceptual models.

ER 2024 will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI).

ER 2024 starts with co-located, concurrent workshops, held on Monday, October 28. Locations and times will be listed on our website in July. Workshop names and descriptions are listed on the ER 2024 website on the Co-located Workshops tab.

The full conference starts on Tuesday, October 29 at the SEI. A welcome reception will be held at the SEI that evening after sessions finish. The conference continues on Wednesday, October 30 and includes a river cruise reception that evening on the Gateway Clipper fleet. We will travel up and down Pittsburgh's three rivers with dinner provided along the way. Bus transportation will be provided to registrants from the SEI to the dock and back again after the river cruise ends. The conference concludes on Thursday, October 31.

A continental breakfast and beverages, hot lunch, and afternoon snacks will be provided each day to registrants. All receptions are included in full conference registration as well as workshops. Registration fees are as follows (all in USD):

• Full Conference Registration (Early Bird - through September 2): $495
• Full Conference Registration (After September 2): $595
• Student Registration (Full Conference and Workshops): $300
• Workshops only (scheduled for October 28): $150
