About this Event
Equity-Driven Research in a Shifting Political Landscape Panel.
Join us for an engaging discussion with Adam Gamoran and Caroline Banks as we delve into the importance of equity-driven research in today's shifting political landscape. This in-person event will be held at Teachers College, Columbia University. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and perspectives on how research can drive equity in our ever-changing world.
As the political landscape is rapidly shifting and affecting opportunities for externally supported research, not only have equity focused federal research programs been archived but the amount of funding is in question and decision trees have been implemented to identify and not fund DEI-related research. While the private foundation community is less affected by these political shifts, they are also experiencing pressure and are not capable of making up the amount of research funding that the Federal government has historically provided. This panel will discuss the challenges of pursuing grant funding for equity-driven research and strategies for how best to approach this rapidly shifting funding landscape.
