Equinox Under the Stars

Battle Point Astronomical Association's Programming Coordinator, Eleanor Uyyek, will present a planetarium show for you to learn more about the fall equinox. If there are clear skies, Astro Ambassadors will demonstrate telescopes on Sundial Hill. Join in an evening tour up to the rooftop of the newly renovated Observatory! Discover all that this non-profit community resource has to offer to the public, educators, and to members.

After our cosmic adventure, we'll enjoy a sweet treat of IslandWood's homemade cookies!

This event is for ages 6+ families welcome!

• The Observatory can be wheelchair accessible on the ground floor with advance notice Please make a note when filling out your order form when you register if you or anyone in your party will be attending in a wheelchair - we need advanced notice
• The upper level tour is available via stairs (no elevator)
• Telescopes will be on a hill, outdoors (if weather allows)
• Wear shoes appropriate for a light hike such as sneakers or hiking boots.
• Sunset occurs at 7:10 PM. If you wish to bring a flashlight or headlamp to get back to your vehicle, you may.
• As always, we love dogs, but please leave yours at home unless they are a service animal.
