EQUINOX: A Ceremony of Sound & Creative SalonMarch 21 marks the Spring Equinox. This is the moment when day and night are equal, and light begins to overtake darkness.
For much of human history, this turning point was considered the true beginning of the year: a natural reset aligned with the rhythms of the earth rather than the calendar.
EQUINOX is an intentional gathering that honors that threshold.
Hosted by artist Trueson Daugherty inside Tulsa’s iconic Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, the experience blends live music, architectural beauty, and spacious listening to mark the arrival of spring.
The morning begins with an creative salon - an open, relaxed space for conversation, connection and expression among artists, thinkers, and culturally curious members of the community.
The program features performances by Ramsey Thornton and Micaela Young, culminating in a special organ sound bath that invites deep listening and creative reset.
This is not a religious service. It is a moment to pause together to acknowledge renewal through art, sound, and shared presence.
EQUINOX is a collective “New Year’s Day” ceremony celebrating light, growth, and possibility.
