Join us for an exciting EquineEd event on October 4th featuring Bob Coleman PhD PAS!This discussion will explore how growing and harvesting conditions impact the production of high-quality horse hay, and why these factors can make finding the right hay a challenge. Attendees will also learn practical tips to help horse owners make informed decisions when selecting hay to best support their horses’ health and nutrition.
Dr. Coleman has served as the Extension Horse specialist at the University of Kentucky since 1998. During this time, he has looked at different management practices when horses are on pasture. In addition to his extension activities, he teaches a course in Equine Facility design and management along with a course on tools and tack used in the industry. Working with horse owners across the commonwealth has provide him with opportunities to look at how different practices work in different situations.
The EquineEd event will take place in the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center on Saturday, October 4th, at 12:00 pm. As always, the lectures are FREE and open to the public.
