The Aligned Foundation: Using principles of relaxation and connection to "check the girth of the mind" before you even mount.
The Dependable Toolkit: Clear aids for handling spins, ducking out, or "home-bound" energy.
Mindful Obstacles: Conquering water (tarps), logs, and "scary" objects through preparation, not force.
The Art of Presence: Learning how to stay connected to your horse even while socializing with friends.
Meet the Host: The Barn’s mission is to create safe opportunities for humans to experience the love, acceptance, transformation, and healing that results when humans and nature come together in harmony.
During business hours (outside our Equine Clinic series), we connect individuals, especially Harmony Family Center’s main population- children and families post-adoption, with horses to support physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
Through our Equine Clinic series, we will be partnering with local trainers to bring in local equestrians to share the beauty of Montvale, and learn strategies to connect with our equine partners. Proceeds from attendants will be utilized as donations to help our therapeutic program expand and our therapeutic equines thrive.

With a background in rehabilitating behavior issues, liberty work, and bridleless riding, Deena brings a unique perspective to the trail. We don't just fix the behavior; we look at the horse's whole self to create a willing partner who wants to go down the trail with you.
