Equally Yoked Christian Singles Freedom Field Day Friday | Canton | June 19

Equally Yoked Christian Speed Dating and Singles Events seeks to create spaces for practicing Christians who are single in southeast Michigan to meet and connect in-person as well as foster relationships in accordance with 2 Corinthians 6:14.

Christian single, you're hot, and it's hot, so join us on Juneteenth, Friday, June 19 to celebrate God's benevolent blessings to us in this country ahead of its 250th birthday for Freedom Field Day Friday from 6-9 p.m. at a local park in Metro Detroit's Canton Township (that town with the Ikea!).

After you register, you will get the exact location of the park. (Please note the location listed in this event is the town hall and is NOT correct for where we are meeting). We have reserved the pavilion, and the park has available courts for pickleball, volleyball, and basketball as well as soccer fields and a disc golf course. These, however, are all first-come, first-serve. We'll also have cornhole.

We'll bring a volleyball, basketball, soccer ball, and frisbee. Please bring your own pickleball or disc golf equipment, if you wish to participate in those.

Feel free to pack a picnic to enjoy during the evening. The pavilion has picnic tables, but you may want to bring a camping chair. We have capacity for up to 80 people. You will check-in with a legal photo I.D. and receive a wristband.

There is no direct cost to sign-up, but we ask attendees to donate a new baseball or other sports equipment for Leveling the Playing Field, a nonprofit that supports access to youth sports in southeast Michigan.

Participation in this fellowship event is not limited to a specific age range. You are not required to be a member of a particular church or denomination, though we ask attendees are a part of a church to be plugged into a faith community.

Parking is available on-site for free. Bathrooms are porta potties.

Canton Township's Liberty Fest is ongoing nearby, if you have the time and are making a drive. Unfortunately, the township has moved its traditional Friday night fireworks closer to Independence Day.

Please note that by participating in this space, you may be approached or face rejection. We ask that all participants demonstrate the Christian virtues of kindness, respect, and grace when interacting with others.

This event will NOT include speed dating.
