Join us for Equality Teen Prom 2024! This is a free event for LGTBQIA+ teens and allies ages 14 - 18 to dance and have a blast. The 2024 theme is Olympus! Think everything pertaining to Greek gods and mythology. Equality Teen Prom will be held on Friday, April 26th from 6 PM - 9 PM in the 1923 Room inside Plexpod Westport Commons.Registration is required! If you will attend, please register here:

COVID restrictions: You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend. Masks are encouraged.
Teen Drag Show: There will be a teen drag show! If you would like to participate, please indicate that on the registration form. If you have never done drag before now is your chance! Or even if you just want to werk in front of a crowd, definitely sign up!
Refreshments: Food and drinks will be provided by Dutzel's Catering and dessert will be provided by Simply Frosted Bakery.
Parents: There will be a designated parents/guardians area hosted by PFLAG. There will be a rock painting activity. If you would like to drop your teen off and remain at the dance you are welcome to do so.
Free Prom Dresses: Resurrection United Methodist Brookside hosts an annual free prom dress event and there is a night reserved specifically for LGBTQIA+ kids. The event will be on Thursday, March 14th from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at 5144 Oak St KC MO 64112. You can choose from 3,000+ free prom dresses and accessories.
