Get ready to lose your shirts for #nippleequality2022 ?? This year "nipple" has been removed from the event given all the recent changes to reproductive rights. It's about equality. PERIOD. Nothing says "summer in Wisconsin" like food, drinks, and walks in the sun. Since all people are allowed to be topless in Madison, this is a celebration and sign of camaraderie with those around the globe still working towards freedom.
This is the 9th Annual Event and we're adding new stops to the lineup, including a protest ? AND some time at a local park ⛱ for those who can’t participate in the bar crawl ? Also, we are ending the event with a dance party with DJ Femme Noir. ?
Please note that all establishments are accessible, serve food, and have tasty NA options. Some of the bars/restaurants on our crawl are small, so we are limited to only 100 attendees.
If you’re interested in showing support, please know that no one is required to participate topless… Your body. Your choice.
Tickets will go on sale AUGUST 1 at NOON.
All proceeds will go to the Women's Medical Fund of Wisconsin -- the abortion fund helping Wisconsinites get healthcare.
If you want to get out there before August 21st, you can always join the Topless Evangelist at various gatherings all summer. This event will be around Day 50 of the protest for bodily autonomy at the Capitol!!
ATTENDANCE DISCLAIMER:
Generally speaking, gender identity and expression are not something anyone should ask somebody to disclose. But if you are a CIS MALE that would like to attend, plan to have a femme-presenting, trans, queer, or non-binary person accompany you to the event as it helps the group feel more comfortable.
Please consider that many attendees will be “exposing” themselves for the very first time. A lifetime of shame and fear is a lot to overcome in a day, so let’s try to make it as easy as possible.
