About this Event

Ann Brown, a University of Iowa Law graduate and attorney with over 20 years of experience, will discuss gender-based wage discrimination and efforts to close the pay gap. She has represented women in landmark Iowa Supreme Court cases under the state’s Equal Pay Act and continues to advocate for fair pay.

In this session, she will explore the history of pay discrimination, the industries most affected, and the legal protections at both the state and federal level. Attendees will also gain practical insights into the steps employees, employers, policymakers, and regulators can take to drive meaningful change.
