The 2024 Equal Opportunity Day Gala is the Houston Area Urban League's premier annual event, dedicated to celebrating the achievements of individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to advancing social and economic justice. Taking place on December 14, 2024, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston, this event will bring together community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters to honor those who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to equality and opportunity.
As the highlight of our annual efforts, the gala focuses on advancing economic and educational opportunities for underserved communities in the Houston area. This year’s event will feature a VIP reception, live entertainment, and a powerful recognition of those who have supported HAUL's mission to empower individuals and families in the Greater Houston Area. Under the leadership of Judson Robinson III, President & CEO, the gala serves as a vital platform to connect with like-minded advocates, celebrate progress, and support HAUL’s continued work toward economic self-reliance, equality, and opportunity for all.
This year, we are honored to have Board Member Morris Smith, Vice President of Public Affairs at Arca Coca-Cola, serving as our Event Chair. Additionally, Myrtle Jones, Senior Vice President of Halliburton, will be joining us as the Honorary Chair. Their leadership exemplifies the spirit of the gala and underscores the significance of our collective efforts.
