Barnes & Noble Northgate is thrilled to welcome three award-winning and bestselling YA authors for a panel discussion and signing on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 as part of the Epic Reads Tour!
HOW TO ATTEND
You must RSVP on Eventbrite to attend! This event is free to join, but only attendees who purchase a copy of THE BLACKWOODS, CHARMING YOUNG MAN, or THE BLOOD YEARS through Barnes & Noble may enter the signing line. If you pre-ordered one of the books on bn.com or purchased at another Barnes & Noble location, be sure to bring a copy of your receipt.
When you arrive at the event, show your ticket confirmation to a bookseller, and they will provide you with a wristband, which will allow you entry into the event space. Parking at Northgate is free for up to three hours. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call and talk to a bookseller at (206) 417-2967!
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Eliot Schrefer is a New York Times bestselling author and has twice been a finalist for the National Book Award in Young People’s Literature. His other awards include a Stonewall Honor and the Green Earth Book Award. He is also the author of The Darkness Outside Us, Endangered, Threatened, and Queer Ducks (and Other Animals): The Natural World of Animal Sexuality. He lives with his husband in New York City, is on the faculty of the Hamline University and Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA in creative writing programs, and reviews books for USA Today. Elana K. Arnold is the bestselling and award-winning author of many books for children and teens, including the Printz Honor winner Damsel; the National Book Award finalist What Girls Are Made Of; and the Global Read Aloud selection A Boy Called Bat. She is a member of the faculty at Hamline University’s MFA in writing for children and young adults program and lives with her family in Long Beach, California. Brandy Colbert is the award-winning author of several books for children and teens, including Black Birds in the Sky: The Story and Legacy of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, which was the winner of the 2022 Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for Nonfiction and a finalist for the American Library Association's Excellence in Young Adult Nonfiction Award. Her other acclaimed books include Pointe, The Voting Booth, The Only Black Girls in Town, and the Stonewall Book Award winner Little & Lion.
