WHAT'S INTERESTING ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Nathan Chan, whose music career began here in the Bay Area at age three, performs Elgar’s dramatic and moving cello concerto.
Young American Composer-in-Residence Viet Cuong premieres his second piece written for the orchestra.
Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 uses a recurring melody representing fate, that transforms from dark and menacing to joyous and triumphant for an epic finish to the 2021/22 season.
