Ephemera: An Art Installation

Join us for our monthly art exhibition! October, Unladylike will be featuring visual artists Jeanette Margaret (@mcrtist) and Meredith Holland (@meredithh0lland). There will be art, vendors, and refreshments. This is a Cannabis friendly event!

Jeanette Margaret and Meredith Holland use symbols and forms as a means to comprehend the function of spacetime and our place within it, as consciousness tied to a body. These emanations encompass the idea of invisible sensation between people, in nature, and the subtle changes and notions within day to day life. These emanations create the patterns in plant life and movement of the elements, creating continuity stitched into the physical reality around us.

Using various media simultaneously as a tool for both detachment and reclamation, Jeanette and Meredith explore the temporality of this in its ephemeral form. Ephemerality exists in the in between; things being transitory, existing only briefly. The ephemeral body encompasses the biological suit that will eventually decay, and its lack of stagnancy throughout the universe in the various planes of existence. Expressing the human condition outside of physicality, these subtleties largely inspire the framework of the show:
