The Eves of Destruction are recruiting!Learn 2 Skate is an opportunity for those who have never been out on skates, who are not so great on skates, and even those who are already fabulous on skates, to be introduced to roller derby!
Are you a fan of playing smarter and not harder? Join our officiating crew! We have spots for on and off-skates officials. No experience necessary!
At these info sessions you will hear from some of our players and officials and we'll tell you all about what you need to get started, plus we'll answer any burning questions that you may have for us.
Join us in the upstairs board room at Archie Browning Sports Centre (1151 Esquimalt Road) on August 21 to find out about all things derby! (info only, no skating required!) Bring a pen and paper, we'll be throwing a lotta info at you!

All Gender Identities are welcome to go through our Learn 2 Skate programs, and stay as a volunteer, NSO, or official. However, once a skater is bench marked and ready to play, they must fall under the Eves of Destruction’s gender policy, which aligns with the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). The policy states that an individual who identifies as a cis-gender woman, a trans woman, intersex woman, and/or gender expansive may skate with the league if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify.
This program, and our adult teams, are for skaters 19+.
If you, or someone you know, is under the age of 19 and interested in Roller Derby, they can contact the Eves of Destruction Junior team, The Rotten Apples. The Apples take new skaters all year long and are a gender-inclusive team, meaning all gender identities are welcome to join the team 🙂 Email [email protected]
