Shauna Sylvester is the Executive Director of Simon Fraser University’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, a Professor, Professional Practice in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, a proud mother and a relationship focused leader.

Architecting Diversity - It’s Up To Us

Power is being reconstructed all around us. Historically, power has been held by small homogenous groups. Today, we’re experiencing a shift, bringing new ways of knowing, being and acting that reflect different life experiences. These are arising from the diversity of:

• the growing presence of women as business leaders,
• innovations led by racialized entrepreneurs,
• new approaches to corporate governance introduced by indigenous elders,
• new consumer demands led by young people, and
• people wanting greater accessibility.

With these transitions comes an opening - a chance to reflect and rethink how we want to show up as business leaders, as entrepreneurs, as neighbours and as parents.

In this session we are going to open a safe space for reflection and exploration by considering this historic moment of change and what it means for us as individuals, businesses and as broader communities.
