Environments for Dreaming, Sound and Rest is a live, solo, un-amplified set played entirely on the ground. It features unusual combinations of instruments from around the world.
The session begins with a brief discussion about lucid dreaming, followed by a short, optional breathing exercise. As the session progresses, the focus shifts from instruction to music and storytelling. The musical sets were conceived as a way to allow the body/nervous system to relax and reset.
The music is rooted in both ancient and modern musical traditions. Each set is unique in its content and tailored to the room it is presented in.

Environments for Dreaming, Sound and Rest has been presented in Guatemala, Italy, Switzerland, California and the United Kingdom among other places - this is its first time in Berlin.

Sumeet Banerji is a lifelong student of sound, posture and dreaming. His studies in music began under the influence of his grandmother Sushri Shanti Banerji. Her guidance led him to ancient and esoteric branches of Indian music and gave him the confidence to study with world renowned masters.
