About this Event

What makes a healthy city? Join this free walkshop with Melting Metropolis’s historians Daniel Cumming and Kara Schlichting and CUNY Community Sensor Lab’s Kendra Krueger to find out. The walk will explore our experiences of climate and the environment in New York City. Discover how, why, when and where heat and pollution move through the city and impacts our bodies. Learn about community-led projects across the subject of climate and health, including flood monitors, air quality sensors, and an intro to the neuroscience of climate and mental health. Hosted by Canopy.

Please note that this is an outdoor activity suitable for 14yrs+ who are comfortable walking / standing for up to 1 hour at a time. Choose one of two start times. Each walk will last roughly 1.5 hours.
