Environmental Justice Comic Workshop

Join Charlie La Greca Velasco and Rebecca Bratspies of Environmental Justice Chronicles in creating comics with a crucial message!
About this Event

The award-winning Environmental Justice Chronicles are a collaboration between Rebecca and artist Charlie La Greca Velasco. These comic books introduce readers to the environmental justice challenges faced by urban communities and feature brave fictional characters taking action to defend the forest, the water, the land, or the air. The stories span the globe and are drawn from real life situations, highlighting the heroes' contributions towards the realization of the internationally recognized human right to a healthy environment.

During this event, participants will help create a storyline that raises awareness of threats to our environment and inspires regular people to become Earth Defenders. Come see how this partnership with the the United Nations Environmental Programme is effecting change for good!
