Our beautiful area sounding the Vilano Boat Ramp REALLY NEEDS OUR HELP.SMFCF will be hosting an environmental clean up and looking for community volunteers to help. We are teaching how and where to look for trash plus how to dispose of it. We’ll be logging the types and number of trash we collect using the "iAngler" app. Training for using the app will be done on site.
Volunteers will need to bring their own gloves, refillable water bottles, and are encouraged to dress for the weather. Please be prepared by wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
If you are interested in competing for the most trash collected, we will be having a "Trash Tournament" using the iAngler App. Please download this app prior to the cleanup
This event is open to all ages, however, parents must accompany their children. Please be sure to register all participants as we have to report back this data. We hope to see you there!
*NOTE: Park in the parking lot of Vinny's Pizza at Camanche Cove and walk to the Vilano boat ramp where you will see the Sol Margin Fishing flag flying. This is due to the heavy boat traffic in the summer.
