About this Event
Entrepreneurs are trained to pitch investors, win customers, and close deals. But nobody teaches you how to work with the people who control zoning, funding, permitting, and policy. This month - that changes.
Nick Palumbo sits on both sides of that table. As Executive Director of Startup Savannah, he builds the programs and networks that help entrepreneurs launch and grow. As Alderman and Chairman of the Savannah City Council, he's one of the decision makers that founders are trying to reach. Before any of that, he was a Foreign Service Special Agent posted to Embassy Baghdad, an educator, and a small business owner. That background shaped how he thinks about persuasion, preparation, and meeting your audience where they are.
This month's Entrepreneurial Evening is a hands-on session on how to lobby effectively, how to frame your ask so it lands, and how to build relationships with elected officials long before you need something from them.
You'll walk away with a real framework you can use the next time you need a decision maker to listen - not just hear you, but actually move.
Event Flow:
- 5:00–6:00 PM: Chill networking, food, drinks, community
- 6:00–7:30 PM: Interactive workshop + conversation
