EnTrance 5Rhythms Friday 25th April, ANZAC DAY, we're dancing a 5Rhythms wave as usual, and then moving into PLANETARY DANCE.
7pm-1030pm. PETERSHAM TOWN HALL, on Gadigal-Wangal Eora country.
Imagine a prayer wheel made of bodies in motion, each dancing their own dance, but as a part of a weaving, moving, unified mandala. There are layers of motion so it doesn’t matter your fitness level or energy during the dance, you can choose your position within the wheel as your energy rises and falls. You can be observer, and let the flow of humans in motion wash around you, or you can make your stand, using your voice while you dance, run or walk for whatever is greater than you. Your family, the planet, for peace, for those who cannot dance… this is a chance to feel the unbelievable force that is generated when humans come together for more than themselves.

EnTrance 5Rhythms is a perfect chance to give yourself the gift of presence. Powerful somatic tools support your inner work, as we move what is true, dying to ourselves over and over until finally we land in the blessed realisation of who we really are and what's truly ours.

Every dance gives us an opportunity to enter a doorway to the ineffable. We meet our true nature, come up against resistance, and in the end, we move the way we move. There is no way of getting it wrong. No experience is necessary, and if you don't know anyone in the community, by the end of the night you'll have a whole new family.
EnTrance is a mini workshop with two parts.
We have a short yet kickarse 1 hour warm up to shake out the cobwebs, then I'll teach a chunk of material to give you some structure and awesome tools to work with for the back end of the class.
Then, now we've let go a few layers, we move into the 1.5 hour trance wave.
Trance allows us to hypnotise ourselves, tracking into the deep wilds of our psyches and instincts, becoming fascinated with the ways we habitually move through life. There is time to explore these shapes, to set our intentions, to kiss those parts of ourselves that no longer serve us, thank them and let them fall.
In these dances we have the opportunity to spend time with our deeper calling. To find our unique offering and bring our gifts more fully into the world, in service. To listen for guidance from the only true guru, our own wisening heart. To mine the lessons for blessings. And to follow our own dancing footprints along the path life carves out for us, so we can be brighter, stronger, more tender and alive for those around us.
With respect and gratitude to the Wangal and Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We dance on stolen ground and yet are continually held by this land as we do our work. Thank you to its original inhabitants. Let us dance lightly on this earth.

When you purchase your ticket you'll receive an email with a list of agreements. Please read it, and if you have any concerns or questions get in touch. These agreements are clear, and designed to keep everyone safe in the workshop. They cover consent, saying no, class structure, confidentiality, no talking in the room, etc. All the good things that mean we can all dance in a clear container.
