THESE WORKSHOPS ARE COMPLETELY, UTTERLY, SOBER.
EnTrance 5Rhythms is a perfect chance to give yourself the gift of presence. Gabrielle Roth's system of conscious movement offers somatic tools support our inner work, as we move what is true, laying down what no longer serves us. The invitation is to allow all our voices to be danced, from the most resistant to the most willing, moving our gritty, raw, soulful, messy beauty, until finally we land in the blessed realisation of who we really are and what's truly ours.
These 5Rhythms sessions have an added element to support this journey: trance. EnTrance is a mini workshop that's less social and more internal than regular 5Rhythms classes. By using awareness as a solvent, following the innate wisdom revealed in our body's movements, and dancing them into a soundtrack that weaves elements of trance music from around the world, we can access rare states where our thinking mind can fall to stillness, opening the doors of perception to insight, wisdom, and pattern recognition.
The only true teacher here is your body and your own gloriously wisening heart. You take things at your own pace, meeting your edges as you need to, knowing you can always say no, take a break. You get to listen to the perfect rhythm of your own unfurling with kindness. Every step has led you exactly here.

Every dance gives us an opportunity to enter a doorway to the ineffable. We meet our true nature, come up against resistance, and in the end, we move the way we move. There is no way of getting it wrong. No experience is necessary, and if you don't know anyone in the community, by the end of the night you'll have a whole new family.
EnTrance is a mini workshop with two parts.
We have a short yet kickarse 1 hour warm up to shake out the cobwebs, then I'll teach a chunk of material to give you some structure and awesome tools to work with for the back end of the class.
Then, now we've let go a few layers, we move into the 1.5 hour trance wave.
Trance allows us to hypnotise ourselves, tracking into the deep wilds of our psyches and instincts, becoming fascinated with the ways we habitually move through life. There is time to explore these shapes, to set our intentions, to kiss those parts of ourselves that no longer serve us, thank them and let them fall.
In these dances we have the opportunity to spend time with our deeper calling. To find our unique offering and bring our gifts more fully into the world, in service. To listen for guidance from the only true guru, our own wisening heart. To mine the lessons for blessings. And to follow our own dancing footprints along the path life carves out for us, so we can be brighter, stronger, more tender and alive for those around us.
