Øyl comes from a background of movement; somatic dialogue informs his selections. With early ears opened by American soul and r&b, and teeth cut in the clubs of the Netherlands and Germany, he blends deep rhythm with thunderous bass. Find the groove and let your body speak through hypnotic movement.
Modpsy
Modpsy is the psychedelic techno alias of Dre Hernandez, a producer and DJ whose sound is rooted in deep, hypnotic rhythm and driven by a passion for intricate synthesis and experimental sound design. Blending cerebral atmospheres with energy-driven grooves, Modpsy creates immersive sonic journeys designed for both introspection and movement.
With over a decade of experience and multiple releases across various aliases, Dre has continually evolved his sound while staying deeply connected to this roots. Growing up immersed in the Miami scene—attending events and DJing in some of the best underground clubs in the city from 2010 to 2016—he developed a deep appreciation for crate-digging, musical storytelling, and building unique sets. His performances often merge vintage cuts with modern productions to keep the dance floor alive while telling a bit of a history lesson.
In recent years, Dre has been crafting and refining his sound in the mountains of Colorado, where he is also co-owner of Dojo Haus, a small underground art gallery and music venue that hosts national and international dance music artists, creative workshops, and a gathering place for the arts community in a small town.
Modpsy is the culmination of years of exploration and transformation.
