Session Theme - From Concept to Product: Engineering in the Real World
About this Event

Ensera Design is hosting an in‑person engineering meetup at our Bristol office, bringing together the local tech community for an evening of honest insight, discussion, and connection.

This session explores the journey from early‑stage concepts through to real‑world products, using a selection of case studies from across Ensera Design’s work, including wearable and medical device development. We’ll look at how software, electronics, and mechanical engineering come together to solve complex challenges in practice.

The evening will feature a series of short presentations exploring real‑world technical challenges and what it takes to take a product from concept through to market. It’s a relaxed, informal session focused on sharing practical experience, answering questions, and connecting with others across engineering and product development.

We'll dig into:

• The (many) system challenges of moving from lab setup to a usable wearable device
• Scaling from early prototypes to clinical trial and production systems, developed on-site at Ensera Design
• Taking a systems level approach to ensuring that your product meets its intended requirements
• The use of detailed analysis and understanding to achieve breakthrough performance

Come along and you’ll leave with:

• Practical insight into how medical devices are developed in the real world
• The chance to ask questions directly to experienced engineers during a live panel and Q&A
• A better understanding of how engineering teams collaborate across disciplines
• Genuine connections with local engineers, designers, and product teams
