Founded in 2007, the ensemble Vocapella Limburg consists of young men from the Limburg region who have their common musical roots with the Limburg Domsing boys and who devote themselves to the demanding men's choral singing under the direction of Tristan Meister.
The choir has earned an excellent reputation and is regularly invited to perform at home and abroad. Concert tours have already led the singers to Israel, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Hungary, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Bulgaria, Portugal and throughout Germany. In 2020, the ensemble was invited to New Zealand as a representative of Germany for the World Symposium on Choral Music.
First prizes and category victories at the German Choir Competition in Weimar (2014) as well as at international choral competitions in Budapest (2013), Warna (2016) and Lindenholzhausen (2024) document numerous competition successes. As part of the German Choir Competition, the ensemble won the special prize for contemporary music as well as the production of the CD "Vom Werden und Vergehen" (2016) at Rondeau Production. The same label has released the CD "Alwin M. Schronen - Männerchöre" (2020) as well as the world's first complete recording of all men's choral works by Max Reger on three CDs (2016, 2017, 2024). Already in 2012 they released their first CD "In der Ferne".
The repertoire of the choir includes sacred and secular male choir literature of all eras and extends from works from the Renaissance to world premieres of contemporary song, which are regularly commissioned by well-known composers.
