Ensemble Sangineto breaks molds. Their mix of traditional Italian with Celtic, classical, jazz, medieval, and more mixed in has been getting rave reviews from audiences and producers alike, as have the unique instruments; the bowed psaltery and the Celtic harp, along with guitar and flute. Combined with Caterina’s gorgeously soaring voice and the bands' three part stunning harmonies, they are a potent force. Carnegie Hall called them “a unique ensemble indeed,” and they were invited to be Official International Showcase Performers for the Folk Alliance International Conference this year, and have already gotten a gig with the Library of Congress concert series from that, plus more.
