Ensemble Laude presents Stars
Come join us for a magical celestial-themed concert with Ensemble Laude! This in-person event will take place at First Metropolitan Church, where you can enjoy beautiful choral music that will transport you to another world. Bring your friends and family for a night of enchantment and harmony. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!
Our winter 2024 concert, Stars, takes the listener through the clear tones of medieval Marian music, inlcuding Hildegard von Bingen and Palestrina, to contemporary Cree composer Andrew Balfour's telling of the star children creation story. We continue the program with songs that tell of the human experience of winter, including Ola Gjeilo’s Northern Lights and Aurora by Nicholas Fairbank, and end with the shimmering Snow Angel suite by beloved Canadian composer Sarah Quartel.
Tickets $25/$30 door/$15 student/under 13 free
