About this Event
Our April session will take place at our Blue Indigo Nature Preserve on Stanley Road in Durham and will feature a collaboration with the NC Botanical Garden! Prescribed burns are important in promoting important native plant species, so we will be conducting a post-burn plant survey with a botanist who will guide students in plant identification and plant survey field techniques.
IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO ATTEND PREVIOUS SESSIONS -- all teens are welcome and the program content does not require significant prior knowledge.
Importantly, PIZZAAAAA will be provided for our wonderful teen participants! Please email me ([email protected]) if your kiddo plans to attend and has dietary restrictions.

Directions and accessibility info: The address for Blue Indigo Preserve is 5117 Stanley Road, Durham, NC 27704. Please note that this is not a preserve that is generally open to the public. It is located within a residential neighborhood, but we (Eno River Association) own and manage the preserve itself. If parents would like to stay during the session, you can park along the side of the road. The terrain is quite flat and there are trails, but we will likely spend a lot of time off-trail in grassy/shrubby areas.
Future session details: Save the date for May 7th.
