Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis is set to defend his IBF World Welterweight title against David Avanesyan in Philadelphia on Sunday, July 14!
Ennis will defend his title in a long-awaited Philadelphia homecoming, his first fight there since November 2018. He returns over a year after his 10th-round knockout of Roiman Villa, where he defended his interim title before being promoted to full champion.
Avanesyan aims to reclaim a World title, having been elevated to WBA champion in May 2016 after defeating ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley. He narrowly lost the title to Lamont Peterson in February 2017.
