Enjoy an educational journey through the American South. Step into the history of the civil rights movement to see its impact on American society. This discussion will be presented by Grace Mah and facilitated by the League of Women Voters.

In this presentation, Mah will discuss the rich history of the civil rights movement and the lasting effects of the slave trade on our nation's history. With an immersive and interactive approach, this talk aims to provide a deeper understanding of the struggles and triumphs of the African American community in the pursuit of equality and justice.

Grace Mah is a dedicated education advocate and leader who currently serves on the Santa Clara County School Board. She has been a member of the LWV Los Altos - Mountain View for over 20 years. A longtime community volunteer, Grace serves on the boards of Stevenson House (a low-income senior housing program in Palo Alto) and SV2 (Silicon Valley Social Ventures).
