English Impro Comedy Show - Hirschchen

On 6 June, Impromix transforms Im Hirschen in Düsseldorf into a pop-up improvised film stage – performed entirely in English. The ensemble brings the lights and the stage, the audience brings themselves, good ideas, and a cold beer. What happens in between? Three films, made up on the spot as if the camera were rolling. Entirely spontaneous, entirely ridiculous.

Three stories, three films – but only one survives. Whether a zombie slasher with slapstick flair, a gritty noir packed with absurd twists, or an oddball western spoof: the cast plays it as if the camera's there. After each round, the audience decides which one keeps rolling and which hits the cutting room floor. By the end of the night, one ultimate improvised film comedy is crowned.

No rehearsed punchlines, no script, no safety net – just seven improvisers from seven countries, an audience with good ideas, and a cosy pub atmosphere where laughter and lager get along beautifully.

Tip: Im Hirschen also serves food – ideally enjoyed before the show. Come a little early, grab a good seat, and have a relaxed bite before the lights go down.

Heads up: Im Hirschen only seats 40 people, and Impromix shows tend to sell out quickly. Anyone who wants in should grab a ticket early.
