Rose and Wattle Dance Group in Perth focus on the tradition of English Country Dancing, also known as Regency Dancing, and our main aim is to have fun. Dancing is, after all, a recreational activity and whilst we do take our dancing seriously, our primary aim is to socialise whilst learning dances from a bygone era. On an average dance evening, we learn several dances in either longways, square or circle sets; where you not only dance with your partner, but with other people in the set. Each dance is prompted by a Caller and we have live music performed by some very talented musicians - our muso’s have as much fun as us dancers!
No experience or partners are required and we recommend casual dress with comfortable shoes suitable for dancing on a wooden floor.
Venue: 117 Monash Avenue, Nedlands
Time: 7-9pm
Cost: $3 on the night
