About this Event

'Engage to Grow: Transforming the UK economy through employee engagement'

The symposium will be an important opportunity to raise the profile of the importance of engagement with an incoming government.

We hope that our recent research into the views and engagement levels of over 3,000 employees, together with the output of this symposium, will enable us to craft our message to the next government, whoever that might be. We need to convey why this topic is crucial and outline what the next government can do to help all of us increase engagement levels, and in doing so, unlock the full potential of employees to grow our economy.

During the symposium, we will hear from Paul Drechsler CBE who, amongst his many contributions, is Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce UK, President of the Society of Chemical Industry, Non-Executive director of Greencore plc and Schroders, and former President of the CBI, and Chair of Teach First. Additionally, we will benefit from insights provided by Susan Clewes, CEO of ACAS; Neil Carberry, CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Federation; Dame Carol Black, widely regarded as Britain’s leading expert on well-being at work; David Dagger from the Institute of Customer Services; Steven Weeks, Head of Engagement at NHS Employers; Ben Fletcher, Chief Operating Officer at Make UK; and Jennifer Sproul, Chief Executive at Institute of Internal Communication.

We will also share the key findings of our highly influential research mentioned above.

In addition, we aim to use the symposium to gather the views of delegates, both during and after the event.
