About this Event
Resources for the Future (RFF) and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation will host the third quadrennial Energy Insights conference on December 3 and 4, 2026, at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. This day-and-a-half-long conference will engage a diverse community of academic, government, corporate, and nongovernmental organization experts in conversations about the future of energy systems research and policy in the United States, building upon evidence and lessons learned across a range of research disciplines. The last four years have seen tremendous change in the energy economics, technology, and policy landscape driving energy systems in the United States. A wide range of stakeholders will discuss the current and future state of:
- Energy system supply chains;
- The energy system workforce;
- Energy use and decarbonization in the industrial sector;
- Energy system resilience and adaptation;
- AI impacts on energy systems research;
