Welcome to "Energy In Motion," a transformational event where ecstatic dance, cacao and emotional release converge to create an unforgettable experience. This is more than an event; it's a journey of self-discovery and expression, offering a blend of personal growth, community connection, and joyous celebration.

Emotion is energy in motion and this event is designed to facilitate emotional processing with an undercurrent of bliss. It's about inner exploration and embodied expression, all wrapped up in a lively, party-like atmosphere. Personal development can be fun, and we're here to prove it.

Event Theme: Share your gifts

Our December event is embracing the festive season and the theme of gifts… acknowledging that some of the most special gifts are the gifts that we hold within!

This event is an invitation to step into deeper levels of sharing our gifts with the world. A reclamation of our authentic expression and unique talents. An opportunity to explore and make progress towards discovering your gifts and moving through any blocks prohibiting the full expression and embodiment of these gifts you hold within.

This event is an opportunity to dance AND an invitation to transform through beauty, play, and the pleasure of being fully present in your body.

Experience Highlights:

• Ecstatic Dance: A liberating space for self-expression. Shed your inhibitions and let the rhythm guide your movements. No previous dance experience is needed—just a heart open to the journey.
• Cacao Ceremony: Connect with this heart-opening plant magic, historically revered as 'food of the Gods'. Our cacao ceremony helps deepen your emotional awareness and connection to yourself while fueling your desire to dance and connect.
• Guided Embodiment Activities: Curated to the monthly theme, Shahna will take you on a somatic journey to embody and integrate the next level of sharing your gifts!

About your hosts:

Host & Facilitator: Shahna Sarpi -

It was love at first dance, when Shahna stepped onto an ecstatic dance dance-floor. She saw the immense power in embodied movement and authentic expression, coming home to her body and her self and feeling the liberation that comes from allowing the energy to move through her. Since that time, she has interwoven these lessons and practices into what she does personally, but also professionally.

Shahna works with the body and nervous system to get people out of survival mode, into a state of thriving on every level. Taking people from stressed, suppressed and exhausted… to healthy, free and radiant.

Having seen the immense power in somatic tools, emotional health and authentic expression from personal experience, Shahna now guides people home to their most empowered and authentic selves, through the body.

DJ: Chakaruna -

Chakaruna (aka our co-host Patty) returns to the decks at Energy in Motion for the first time in almost 1.5 years with a specially crafted set to help you live your destiny and share your gifts.

Known for his deep, punchy, heart-opening journeys across genres including tribal bass, organic house, and world electronica, Patty is dedicated to opening hearts and creating blissful experiences that embrace the full spectrum of human emotion.

The name Chakaruna means “bridge person” in Quechua. He aims to guide dancers on a transcendent journey across continents, through dimensions, and deep into their true nature.

This occasion marks a new chapter, as Chakaruna will share a handful of his original tracks for the first time - offerings born from consistent trust-falls down the rabbit hole of his own destiny. Expect a dance floor journey that celebrates authenticity, courage, and the wild joy of discovering the gifts you came here to share.

Things to note:

Ticket cost is $50.00 if purchasing on the day of the event.

Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.

Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. A journal and an eye mask is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).

Notice of Full Event Capture by Professional Photographer/Videographer: There are many events held at Centre of You where no content is captured. At this event however, a professional photographer/videographer will be present to document the entirety of the experience. The content captured will be utilised for the creation of visual storytelling pieces for future promotional efforts to support the endeavours of the facilitator/s and possibly reshared by Centre of You. By attending, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of your identity being edited into shareable online content. We value transparency, your sense of comfort and your sense of agency - If you would like more information to help determine whether this iteration of the event is the right fit for you, please connect with us.

Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 6:15pm - 6:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 6:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.

Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).

Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram & 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) & stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).

Public transport - train: Both Prahran & Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.

Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair-accessible lift. Accessibility: At COY we aim to ensure our community and events are inclusive and accessible while upholding the needs and responsibilities of our business and partnering facilitators. Should you be in a time of financial challenge and unable to pay the full ticket price comfortably, please be in contact via [email protected]. Together we will find a way.

Ticketing T&Cs: We get it, life happens, therefore we will gladly refund you up until 24hrs before the event start time. After that, we have a strict no refund/no transfer to future events policy.
