This Education Event is FREE to Register For
In partnership with All Path, the Alliance for Pathways into Engineering, students in the Texas Panhandle grades 5-12 will put their engineering skills to the test at DHDC's Energy Day!
This two-part event challenges students to build a working version of a catapult with materials provided by All Path in the 75 minutes allotted for each team's construction time. Teams will then test their catapults with sieges, with judges taking notes on each build's power and accuracy when fired. During judging and other teams' launch times, students will have time to explore DHDC's newest Ice Dinosaurs exhibit, included in the competition entry.
School groups may have up to 10 teams registered per campus. Homeschool groups are also permitted to register. Each team must have a minimum of two students and a maximum of five students per team.
