About this Event

A participatory ritual performance unfolding inside a liminal threshold zone. A blue painted wooden soilbox, referencing the sandplay method used in psychoanalysis, is installed within the garden area. Filled with dark earth, the structure functions simultaneously as a transpersonal dreamfield, ritual landscape, somatic threshold, and site of biological and energetic germination. Inspired by Arnold Mindell’s concepts of the Dreambody and the Field (developed in The Shaman’s Body), the work invites participants into a state in which body, matter, memory, imagination, affect, and future potentialities become temporarily entangled. The field operates as a space of embodied dreaming in which inner processes are externalized through gesture, movement, and contact with matter. Through ritual participation, visitors are invited to transform psychological, emotional, or energetic conditions into acts of conscious transition.

Participants approach the field individually.

The performance and on-site documentation are focused on the evolving surface of the soil, transforming the field into a living cartography of collective projection, movement, and transformation.

This date is also the opening reception of second part of exhibition of The Cmpound's culminating exhibition series Silver Baits, Silver Archives.

Opening Reception: July 11, 4–7 PM

As the ultimate chapter of Silver Baits, Silver Archives, Stuttering is Echoing is an open call that invites local artists to respond to a series of prompts by producing new works or curating site-specific installations that engage in dialogue with the existing exhibition. The echo seeks no origin; it bears witness within repetitive, post-assembled, and reconfigured polyphonic layers, accumulating into a different kind of subterranean memory. “Stuttering” becomes a kinetic force for exhibition activism, used by artists engaged in site-responsive creation to harmonize those hidden fricatives. It pulls back the curtain on the established linguistic anchors within the dynamics of exhibition authority—between action and memory, intimacy and public declaration—thereby also gazing toward the invisible collective action blockages sought by silver baits, silver archives. Echoing guerrillas, standing tall and firm.
