⫸ MUSIC
Tony y Not, a Zurich-born, New York-based DJ, blends brooding cosmic disco, candied tech-trance, darkwave synth, and acid house to create razor-sharp yet free-spirited sets that empower crowds to let loose. With a discerning taste and a fun stage presence, she has performed at world-renowned clubs and festivals like fabric, Watergate, Hi Ibiza, Piknic Electronik, and Fusion, and released on top labels like Rebellion, fabric records, and Ombra International. Her dynamic DJing style cycles through ravey piano house, tech-trance, acid techno, and piano house, while her colorful, complex tracks suit both nightclubs and open-air raves. Supporting women in the industry and promoting mental health, Tony y Not launched the Safe Spaces Series on Spotify in 2022. Sharing bills with icons like Tiga, Solomun, and Ben UFO, she continues to spread joy and uplift others on and off the dance floor.
Originally from the country of Georgia, Acid Alien’s (Ana’s) musical upbringing starts with classical music, playing the piano and dancing for the Georgian national ballet, followed by decades of classic rock and post punk revival obsession and culminating with the blooming techno scene in Georgia, specifically techno institution such as Tbilisi’s “Bassiani” the sister club of Berlin’s “Berghain”. She also fully immersed herself in the electronic music scene of Scandinavia, where she lived for 8 years.
Having lived on multiple continents and explored music genres of all kinds, her music is a reflection of this diverse background. Acid Alien has a signature sound which can range from deep progressive, dark disco, indie dance to techno and downtempo electronica, always with a dash of acid.
Acid Alien is also the founder and the resident DJ of the event series, “Alien Invites”, the event series focuses on curating underground electronic music DJ lineups, actively taking the gender inequality in the music industry into account.
