Eight years in the making, this hand-drawn animated documentary captures two half-brothers – one white, one Indigenous – transforming chaotic kitchen conversations into a surreal portrait of family, colonialism and life in the remote Canadian town of Shamattawa. Endless Cookie honours Indigenous storytelling on Indigenous terms.
Endless Cookie screens as part of Fantastic Film Festival Australia, presenting weird, wonderful and wholly unexpected films in Melbourne and Sydney from April 23 to May 15.
