Welcome to the Endings and Beginnings workshop!
Come join Couple and Family Therapists Gabriela Salabert and Simon d'Orsogna for 4 days of self-discovery and growth in Taupo, Aotearoa NZ (bio's below). This event is all about honouring the past and welcoming the future in your adult journey. In these days we bring our focus to internal and external systems for releasing stuckness, healing, and wholeness.

Explore unfinished relationships, illness and health, as well as thwarted purpose and happiness to release what it's no longer helpful. We invite greater clarity about our constraints using Family and Systemic Constellations, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and group-work.
Here we look into loosening entanglements through resolving unfinished bonding, grief and conflict. Acknowledging our excluded emotions, inter-generational inheritances, thoughts and beliefs allow us new growth and perspectives.
Accepting and adjusting to new possibilities, honouring the past and welcoming the future allows the flow of life and love, and prepares us for our next steps. In this experiential workshop at beautiful Lake Taupo we discover what’s unfinished and take steps to release our places of stuckness and entanglement. Join us for our quest to support deep transitions - searching for more truth, meaning and adult presence in a group of like-minded seekers.
In every life decision and purpose, we must select and leave aside what is no longer a primary need. In midlife people often become less impulsive, more thoughtful about their work, more open to life's complexities, and more aware of their intuitive feelings. It's a wonderful time to start a new project or clarify your direction!
Suitable for those seriously interested in personal growth. The sessions provide an opportunity for professional and personal growth in a supportive atmosphere. Confidentiality and safety will be discussed on the first day, and the expectation of self-care, self-responsibility and support is key. As this is not group or individual therapy we do not recommend attending if you are in crisis or active recovery, or find that groups over-activate your nervous system. If you are warmly intrigued and have curiousity about ongoing integration and elaboration of your adult self in well-held groups, please read on.
Note for helping professionals: This workshop is not a formal training program focused on IFS or Constellations. It is focused on your experience, which you can then bring to your practice. There will be time at meals to meet with other professionals for some of these discussions.
Experiential work requires safety, warmth, and heat in the crucible for transformation, growth, and change. This intensity is our connection with Life. If you have this calling, want to amplify it, or are looking to reconnect with the flow of life and love, this intensity is how we connect with the Eros, sparkle, and energy of our unique path.
This workshop will speak especially to those who love learning and self-discovery. This is an experiential workshop, not a training in Constellations nor IFS.
Limited to 25 persons plus the training team, preference and first invites to those having completed recent workshops with Gabriela and Simon, and those familiar with systemic work.
WHEN
From Saturday 7th - Tuesday 10th December 2024
Program commences 12:30pm for lunch on Saturday 7th December 2024, and then runs daily from 9am to 4:30pm with breaks.
Optional hot baths are recommended at the end of each day, self/group-organised and sharing cars.
Final day, Tuesday 10th December 2024 we complete the workshop with a lunch together at 1pm and take leave from 2pm.
Additional days of accommodation can be booked directly with the Tauhara Centre.

Live-in Options
This is a residential workshop with single or shared rooms (bunks, caravan or multi-person dwelling options), linen and full catering. Vegan, vegetarian, GF and dairy free diets are catered for. Limited to 24 persons, preference and first invites to those having completed recent previous Constellations and in-person workshops with the trainers. Access to the ticketing page is by invitation, following an expression of interest.
On a practical note to know - we will start and finish with a lunch together on the first and last day. We will have time through our program to deepen into the larger Field of non-local knowing directly - as well as optional time-out (walking tracks, a meditation space, and gardens around the property), optional napping-dreaming, and taking quiet time before-during-after the workshop sessions. All sessions are optional, with introductions and closing sessions recommended. Evenings are unprogrammed, and proposals and initiatives from participants are welcome. Optionally, we'll see groups self-organise to visit the local hot springs at the conclusion of the day's program.

PRE-READING
Some pre-reading/pre-viewing of freely available online material is recommended. Constellations material can be viewed at the Hellinger Institute (US and Nederlands), Real Academy (SA), The Knowing Field, and the Facebook page Constellations according to Hellinger. Basic materials will be sent ahead of time explaining key concepts, however the learning happens in the room without book knowledge.
COST
Fee includes residential accommodation (3 nights) which needs to be indicated at the time of registering, all catering, and 4 days workshop with materials.
AUD $1,150-1,375 plus ticket fee pending accommodation selection.
Deposit of AUD $150 payable at registration with a credit card, and the remainder to be invoiced within 7-14 days.
Payment plans available on request and attract 5% fee.
Invoice payment via Credit card attracts 3% fee.
The $150 deposit will hold a place, and invoices will be sent for the difference.
Places are confirmed only on full payment.
Invoices for the difference can be paid in NZD to a local bank by EFT.
Note the organiser is not registered for GST in NZ, there is no GST component.

Gabriela Salabert
Gabriela is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and supervisor with over thirty years of professional clinical experience in the public health sector of Sydney and private practice. She has worked extensively around complex trauma with different populations, using diverse treatment models and family interventions. Her integrative approach incorporates a holistic framework of evidence and practice-based psychotherapies: EMDR, Gestalt, Psychoanalysis, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Dance Movement, ACT, CBT, Grief Therapy, and Couples and Family Therapy. She has conducted ongoing clinical training in Systemic Family Therapy and Systemic Family Constellation Workshops since 2004, following studying in Buenos Aires with Bert Hellinger and other senior teachers. Gabriela was a member of the first Australian group who met regularly in Sydney from the early 2000's.
Gabriela worked as a Senior Cross-Cultural Clinical Psychologist Consultant at NSW Health and, since 2018, as the Clinical Lead for Grief and Bereavement at HammondCare. She is an accredited supervisor with APHRA, providing individual and group supervision, and a member of the APS Clinical Psychologist College and the APS Sydney Committee.
Simon d'Orsogna
Simon d’Orsogna is a psychotherapist, clinical trainer/facilitator, and systems-oriented coach based in Melbourne, with individual and couples clients. He completed a Clinical Masters of Systemic Family Therapy at the Bouverie Centre, and provides psychotherapy, process consultancy and adult developmental coaching. Based in Melbourne, Simon is a certified Kegan-Lahey Immunity to Change coach, process consultant and integrative therapist, and an Associate Instructor with the US Coherence Psychology Institute teaching Memory Reconsolidation since 2011.
Simon facilitates experiential learning workshops in Australia, including through 2014-17 offered a training series introducing Internal Family Systems to Australia, and since 2017 brought the first IFS official trainings from Dr Richard Schwartz's US-based IFS Institute. He is IFSI's International Partner in Australia and New Zealand, and is a Level 3 IFS practitioner with training specializations working with couples and working with survivors of trauma. Simon has facilitated and arranged more than 450 days of Internal Family Systems trainings and workshops since 2014. He has organised and led trainings of Coherence Therapy, Dreamwork in Groups, Systemic Family and Group Constellations, Person Centred Experiential Therapies, and Polyvagal informed Clinical Practice in the region, and has presented at the US annual IFS Conference as well as in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and across Australia and New Zealand. Simon runs an online practice, offering supervision and training for individuals and organisations.

Confidentiality and safety will be discussed on the first day, and the expectation of self-care, responsibility, and support is key.
What should I bring to the workshop?
Bring curiosity, willingness to try things out ("Yes, and..."), a sense of humour, and a heart-oriented openness to the multiplicity of self. Preparedness to do your own work - "if you are feeling it, it's probably yours".

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Tickets are not transferable, in accordance with the refund policy. Please advise if you do wish to withdraw or exchange tickets so we can update details.
What is the refund policy?
Due to the limited size of each course, a refund can only be issued if cancellation notification in writing is received 30 days prior to the workshop - less a $75.00 administration fee per person for the full course.
Existing registrants will be sent the refund, and should return any materials sent. We cannot reimburse any expenses or losses you may have incurred. Courses must be pre-paid. We do not take money at the door.
We reserve the right to cancel due to insufficient registrations, or other reasons beyond our control at our discretion. Workshop fees will be reimbursed in full should cancellation be necessary.

Bert Hellinger: New Paths
"The practitioners and the all the other participants experienced another consciousness, far beyond the relationships of ‘I’ and ‘You’. The ‘I’ that wanted something was carried along by an ‘We’, which meant it ceased being an ‘I’ in the usual sense, an ‘I’ that included ideas about good and bad, better and worse, even healthy and sick. These new ‘We’ constellations enthralled everybody present: everyone was drawn into the constellation in an individual way and learnt to take. Participants were reminded to take personal responsibility for their own actions and the consequences of those actions. The duality in our relationships: of helper and client, of knowledgeable and ignorant, was swept away by an all-embracing ‘We’. Everyone was able to, and had to, fit into a greater whole, but with a sense of self-responsibility intact. This was also true across the dimensions of our own health and illness, our happiness or misery.
Family constellations revealed that everyone is always present with several other people. Everyone lives different lives and in several places. Everyone is simultaneously taken into service for many others. By whom or what? By an all-embracing movement that decides over our welfare in a comprehensive way. Can anyone come between us and this movement? Are we not all taken in by the same creative power and guided on the path that serves our fate as has been decreed for us? This present time is also just one among many that we must live in and through, in order to become whole, increasingly freed and purified by this power."
