Ending A Wanted Pregnancy Virtual Support Group

This 4-week virtual support group is for gestational carriers who have made the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy due to medical reasons, including fetal diagnoses or maternal health concerns.

Losing a baby is an incredibly isolating and heartbreaking experience, and choosing to end a wanted pregnancy can add layers of complexity that may lead to feelings of isolation, judgment, or being misunderstood. This group offers a safe space to explore the depth of your emotions and receive both support and education about this unique grieving experience. Breaking the silence around a termination for medical reasons can facilitate healing and help integrate this loss into who we are and who we want to become.

What can I look forward to in a virtual support group?

• This group is 60 min and meets for 4 sessions.
• Each session follows a similar structure.
• Group starts with a relaxation practice, followed by discussion around a weekly topic and ends with setting an intention for your week.

How can this support group help me?

• Connect with others in a warm and supportive environment, helping you realize you're not alone.
• Feel seen and understood in a way that acknowledges the complex range of emotions experienced, such as grief, guilt, anger, sadness, and even relief.
• Explore coping strategies and learn from others' experiences.

Participants commit to all 4 weekly sessions at time of registration and a minimum of 3 registrants is required for the group to be facilitated.
