End with Red: Celebrating 10 Years
Sat Dec 04 2021 at 05:30 pm to 09:30 pm
The Black Academy of Arts and Letters | Dallas, TX
About this Event
End with Red was created to serve as an economic enrichment campaign aimed at developing micro-enterprising projects focused on creating wealth for womxn of color living with HIV/AIDS and those at risk. End with Red powers womxn to obtain independent wealth that will enable them to end the cycle of poverty that continues to exist among womxn of color.
End with Red also serves as The Afiya Center’s signature annual fundraiser. The funds raised through this campaign support reproductive justice work that is centered around our HIV programs that addresses the holistic needs of Black womxn living with HIV, promotes leadership development, and provides a pathway to their advocacy.
This year’s End with Red fundraising gala marks a significant milestone as it is also a celebration of its 10-year anniversary.
Join The Afiya Center on December 4, 2021 for a masquerade themed evening, where we will acknowledge those we work with in community, celebrate the accomplishments of womxn living with HIV and honor those we have lost. The keynote speaker for the evening is International HIV/AIDS activist, Hydeia Broadbent.
Additionally, The Afiya Center will present the newly established Dr. Barbara Cambridge Public Health Scholarship fund.
