A bit about the speakers:
**Ian Ritchie**
**Forensic Psychologist**
**BA (Hons)**
**MAPS Fellow APS College of Forensic Psychologists**
Ian Ritchie has worked as a psychologist for many years, most of them in Far North Queensland. Ian is a specialist forensic psychologist who has experience working in the criminal, family law and child welfare jurisdictions. He works in providing expert assessments, specific counselling and psychological treatment for people who have forensic issues. Ian also works with relationships, lifespan developmental issues and workplace issues. He was on the APS Far North Queensland Branch Committee as a committee member for several years before acting as chairperson from October 2007 to October 2011. Ian has facilitated workshops on behalf of APSFNQ regarding psychological assessment and professional report writing.
**David Lonergan**
**Psychologist**
**BSc Psych Hons MAPS**
David Lonergan has worked as a psychologist based in FNQ since the 1990s. David has many years of experience delivering clinical treatment, counselling and therapy services to individuals, couples, families and staff across the vast FNQ area with specific attention to Cape York communities and townships. David is also an experienced Veterans clinician and has been a senior therapist in numerous Trauma and Recovery residential group programs for Military and First responders. He has consulted to QH (Cape) , RFDS (Cape) , Apunipima (Cape) , Bush Support Line (National) and many NGOs around Cairns and Tablelands alongside a private practice . His involvement in FNQ APS goes back to its formation in 1995 and he was 3rd Chairperson taking the FNQ APS through the late 90s and into the 21st C.
