End of Summer & Grand Re-Opening Celebration ---Saturday, August 3
---10am-noon; throughout the library
Celebrate the end of summer reading while also exploring the library’s newly renovated building!
There will be a variety of activities for all ages!
---Animals Around the World, presented by Incredible Bats, in Community Rooms 2 & 3 (two sessions offered) from 10am-11am and 11:30am-12:30pm (the second session will end after other celebration programming has concluded)
---"Magic School Bus" Bounce House in Community Room 1
---Crafts in the Children's Department
---Lego Challenge in the Children's Department
---Tours of our newly expanded and renovated building will be offered at 10am, 10:30am, 11am & 11:30am. Tours will leave from the Check Out Desk on the first floor.
---Demos in the new Innovation Lab
---Demos in the new Recording Studios
---Bay Area Mexicana Food Truck
---Olde Tyme Ice Cream Food Truck
---"Ribbon cutting" photo opportunity; first floor lobby
The library's official ribbon cutting with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce will take place at 11:30am on Thursday, August 1. All are welcome!
