End of Season IAAT Tourism Forum

Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) will deliver its latest tourism business forum on Friday 25th of May at 11am, in the Fota Island Resort.
This FREE event will set out expert insights (tourism performance forecast), trends (the impact of AI, outdoor education), challenges (the middle-east crisis fall-out), and key updates (insurance, accessible & inclusive tourism), as well as outlining out key areas of development, growth and opportunities for outdoor tourism in Cork and the wider region.
Speakers include:
- Jenny DeSaulles - Director of Sector Development, Fáilte Ireland
- Seamus Heaney - Head of Visit Cork and the Cork Convention Bureau
- Brendan Kenny - CEO, Ireland's Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT)
- Eimear Flanagan – Chair, Ireland's Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT)
There will be a Q&A afterwards, and refreshments available for attendees.

This event is targeted at everyone working in or interested in the Irish tourism industry, including outdoor activity providers, accommodation providers, attractions, restaurants, cafés, pubs and all other industry stakeholders.
About IAAT:
Established in 2017, Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) is the representative body for over 200 adventure activity tourism operators on the island of Ireland, in a sector that employs over 8,000 people across every county.
Members include adventure centres, waterparks, tour operators and businesses offering kayaking, biking, hiking, rafting, horse-riding, surfing, horse-riding and many more activities. These businesses offer enjoyable activities to both domestic and international markets, promoting positive physical & mental health, as well as risk education in controlled settings and pathways to long-term participation.
In support of our work on behalf of the Irish outdoor tourism sector, IAAT is partnered with with Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland, the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC), the Northern Ireland Tourism Alliance (NITA), a number of County Councils, Waterways Ireland, Outwest, FareHarbor, Arachas Insurance, the Sustainable Tourism Network, the European Confederation of Outdoor Employers (EC-OE) and the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI).
