What happens when leaders are willing to reconsider what they thought they knew about addiction, recovery, and drug policy?
About this Event

Join us for the premiere of How Mississippi Changed Its Mind on Drug Policy, a new short documentary telling the stories of Mississippi leaders whose perspectives on addiction and drug policy have evolved over time.

Guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres before the film screening.

Following the screening, speakers featured in the film will join a live panel discussion about what changed their thinking, the experiences that challenged their assumptions, and the policy changes that followed.

The panel will feature Rep. Sam Creekmore, Rep. Lee Yancey, Sen. Nicole Boyd, and Police Chief Jeff McCutchen, and will be moderated by Christina Dent.

The evening will bring together state and local leaders from across Mississippi, including legislators, law enforcement, healthcare, faith, business, and community leaders.

This gathering is an opportunity to celebrate Mississippi's progress, connect with others working toward healthier and safer communities, and continue the conversation about practical approaches to addiction that support recovery, strengthen families, and promote public safety.
