Kira Fontana is a powerhouse singer-songwriter, composer, and musical visionary whose voice has captivated audiences from Hollywood studios to Austin’s iconic stages. Coming off her second annual sold-out Christmas Show 'O Holy Night' at ACL Live, Kira is thrilled to present 'Encounter the Light' – an epic free live music event under the stars at Moody Amphitheater.

Described as “mesmerizing” by The New York Times (for her acclaimed film score on the breakout documentary Kedi), Kira's original songs and fresh arrangements blend raw emotion, cinematic depth, and transcendent power. She’s released albums like 'Refuge' and the 'Christmas at ACL Live', and performed at venues like SXSW, ACL Live at The Moody Theater, and the iconic Long Center Stage.

Trained at elite institutions—Eastman School of Music (B.M. in Composition) and Yale School of Music (M.M.)—Kira was mentored by Pulitzer Prize-winners and legendary minimalist composers Steve Reich and John Adams before diving into the heart of LA’s music scene. There, she became one of the city’s top celebrity vocal coaches, shaping voices for major labels, hit shows like Glee and The Voice, and top recording artists.

But Kira’s journey goes deeper... she’s explored global sounds, studying Classical Indian music with Ravi Shankar protégé Kartik Seshadri and immersing in Balinese and Javanese music traditions, infusing her work with intricate rhythms, ethereal textures, and cross-cultural resonance that elevate every note.

Now based in Austin, Texas—Kira brings her boundary-pushing artistry to stages that celebrate innovation, heart, and unforgettable live experiences.
